Public policy is a multidimensional process. It encompasses the interplay of many parties. This includes interest groups, businesses, and individuals competing and collaborating to influence policymakers to act in a particular way and on various policies. These individuals and groups use numerous tactics to advance their interests. With regards to this case study, there are multiple lessons present that relate to public policy. Some notable examples are economic conditions, lobbying, public opinion, individuals advocating their positions publicly, educating supporters and opposers, and mobilizing allies on specific issues. This case study also shows us the evolution of public policy through the civil rights movement.

In a bid to safeguard jobs for American citizens, the Trump administration has suspended visas allowing foreigners to work in the U.S. Within the last eight months; there has been a global pandemic causing many businesses to fold. Before this pandemic, unemployment was already on the rise; therefore, this crisis has aggravated the tenacity of the situation.
